Basic double-sided gluing tips for beginners

Double-sided adhesive is an extremely useful tool in the garment industry, helping you easily connect pieces of fabric together without using needles and threads. However, to use double-sided adhesive effectively, you need to know certain secrets. This article will guide you on how to apply double-sided adhesive with a basic gluing machine for beginners.

Prepare:

• Double-sided adhesive tape machine

Doing:

1. Cut double-sided adhesive: Use scissors to cut double-sided adhesive into pieces of suitable size for your needs.
2. Place the double-sided adhesive on the fabric: Place the double-sided adhesive on the desired position on the fabric. The double-sided adhesive should be placed about 1 cm from the edge of the fabric to avoid peeling off during use.
3. Double-sided adhesive : Use a double-sided adhesive machine to apply double-sided adhesive to the fabric. Adjust the temperature of the adhesive machine to suit the type of double-sided adhesive being used. Start with a low temperature and gradually increase if necessary.
4. Place wax paper on top: Place a piece of wax paper on top of the double-sided adhesive to avoid getting the adhesive on the iron.

• Adjust the temperature of the gluing machine appropriately to avoid damaging the fabric.

• Clean the gluing machine and iron after use.
